Over the years, Save the Children has been working in Dadaab to protect the well-being of children especially those categorized as vulnerable. As populations streamed into the camps, Save the Children set up safe spaces to address the emergency needs of the children who were arriving. Here the children played and socialized in a child friendly environment away from the harsh reality that surrounded them. With the prolonged stay of refugee families in these camps there was need to rethink the strategy and include more components in the program that would develop the children holistically.
